OUR RENTAL POLICIES
GAS
Gas is not included in the rental rate.
LIFE JACKETS
Life jackets are provided Free of charge to everyone and are mandatory for kids under 13.
Life jackets are mandatory for all WaveRunner participants.
Prior watercraft operating experience is mandatory on all watercraft.
RESERVATION POLICY
Reserve Online for 4-hour, 8-hour, or all-day rentals. 3-hr rentals may be available on a
walk-in basis based on availability.

Reservations require a valid credit card. No charges until the day of rental.
Cancel up to 48 hours before to avoid a “No Show” fee equal to full rental rate.
RENTAL REQUIREMENTS
● Prior Boat Driving Experience. "No first-time drivers"
● Must Be 21 Years Old To Rent And/Or Drive
● No alcohol consumption is allowed for operators of rental watercraft
● Valid USA Driver's License
● $300 Deposit on a valid credit card presented in person
● If born after Jan. 1, 1984, the renter must show a valid boating safety ID Card.

* Temporary MO Boating Safety Permits are available on the day of rental and are valid for 7
days. This temporary program requires a safety test online in the marina store. Temp. Safety
Permits are for boat rentals only and are not applicable to our WaveRunner rentals.

Reservation Policy

● A confirmed reservation will hold your vessel for up to 30 minutes after
your scheduled departure time, after which it will be considered a "No
Show" and the entire reservation fee will be forfeited.
● Please arrive for your rental 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure
time to ensure the entire rental time is allotted. Rental times cannot be
extended due to late arrivals.
● Renters and any additional drivers must be at least 21 years old with a
valid United States Driver's License and credit card. By Law all drivers
born on or after January 1st, 1984 must complete a Missouri Highway
Patrol approved Boater Safety Training Course. For your convenience,
please take the online course at www.nasbla.com. Upon successful
completion you will be presented with a course completion card and email
to present to us.
● A security deposit of $300 per vessel will be required on the day of the
rental and must be placed on a major credit card in the Renter's name.
● Mass quantities of alcohol, open flames, grill, or cooking equipment of
any type is prohibited on all rental boats.
● Each rental boat leaves the dock with a full tank of fuel. Once the boat is
returned and refueled the renter is responsible for the amount of fuel
consumed during the rental time.
● Changes to existing reservations, boat type, rental date or time must be
made at least 48 hrs. before the reservation date and cannot be
processed online. Please call the location in which the reservation was
made to make these arrangements.
● Any cancellation made more than 48 hrs. before the reservation date will
be issued a credit of the full rental amount to be used within the same
calendar year.
● Any cancellation made less than 48 hrs. before the reservation date will
result in a forfeit of the entire reservation amount and cannot be credited
towards future reservations.
● If the following conditions exist on the lake; heavy rain lasting more than
45 minutes; lightning; tornado warnings; high wind advisories or any
condition that Rock Lane Resort & Marina considers unsafe boating conditions,
then the reservation fees will be credited. Weather credits or rain checks
can only be given in person on the day of the rental and are based on
actual weather conditions on the lake at the time of the rental not future
weather forecasts.

Heads up: If you born after January 1st, 1984, it is

required that all operators have a Missouri Boating
Safety Certificate, or a NASBLA approved boaters
license from another state (see below.)

license if you pass an online test at our location on or before the day of your
reservation!

Wondering if your current certificate or license will make the cut?

The State of Missouri will accept the following state agency and NASBLA approved
certificates:
○ A certificate issued by another State agency and NASBLA
approved
○ A certificate issued by the US Power Squadron
○ A certificate issued by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary
○ A valid commercial license issued by the US Coast Guard
○ A valid commercial (boating) license issued by the State of
Missouri

Need a temporary license?

Beginning March 1, 2021, individuals can order and pay for their temporary boating safety
identification card online from their mobile device or desktop computer, complete a boating safety
checklist of common boating laws, and acknowledge they have reviewed The Handbook of Missouri
Boating Laws and Responsibilities as required in Missouri Revised Statute 306.127. Please visit

The cost of the temporary boating safety identification card remains $9.

Upon successful completion of the online checklist and payment, the student receives an email with the temporary boating safety identification card in his/her name. The identification card must be carried with the individual while operating a boat, either downloaded to the mobile device or a
printed copy.
